“Calling ALL Singers !!!”

Caroline County Agricultural Fair Idol

This year for the first time ever we will hold an Idol competition!

Rules:

Must be at least 16 years of age and a resident of Caroline County or serving active duty in the military at Fort A.P. Hill. Participants under the age of 18 must have parental permission slip filed with application. If accepted, participant agrees to participate in all three eliminations.

This competition will consist of 50 singers. The application period runs from the present up until JULY 10,2009. Contestants will be selected on a first come first serve basis. Applications should be mailed to :

Eliminations are as follows:

Preliminary elimination: Sunday July 12, 2009 2:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Caroline County Community Center. This elimination will consist of 50 participants who will be evaluated on stage presence and vocal ability. No music will be used and singers will sing acappella at this level only.

Second elimination: July 23, 2009 Thursday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the entertainment tent at the Caroline County Agricultural Fairgrounds. This competition will consist of 24 singers. At this level participants will perform with CD music only tracks or CDG Karaoke performance tracks. Contestants must provide own CD or CDG track.

Final elimination: July 26, 2009 Sunday from 2:00 PM- 5:00 PM in the entertainment tent at the Caroline County
Agricultural Fairgrounds. This competition will consist of 8 singers. At this level contestants will perform with CD music only tracks or CDG Karaoke performance tracks. Contestants must provide own CD or CDG tracks.

All participants are asked to be on time and ready to sing at all levels of competition. All Judges decisions are final and non disputable.

Prizes are as Follows:

First Prize: $150.00

Second Prize: $100.00

Third Prize: $50.00

In addition to cash prizes, trophies will be awarded to the 8 finalists.
